| Overview |
| Nationally recognised qualification that
satisfies training criteria to deliver training services and
conduct competency based assessments in accordance with national
training frameworks and industry requirements. The Certificate
IV in Assessment and Training replaces the Cert IV in Assessment
and Workplace Training (BSZ40198) and is ideally suited to
those seeking employment as a trainer and assessor or who
are currently employed as a workplace trainer and assessor.

| Job Prospects |
Persons interested in developing the skills
of others within the workplace are required to be trained
assessors and workplace trainers. Many employers recognise
the need for on going staff development strategy and engage
the services of qualified staff as opposed to off-site formalised
training.
Qualified trainers and /or assessors are essential in today’s
competent workforce.

| Delivery |
This qualification incorporates (5) fields
of study and candidates must successfully complete a minimum
of (12) core units and (2) electives. The program is delivered
using a flexible approach combining direct delivery sessions
over 10 weeks along with a range of distance learning resources.
Daily and evening programs are offered. The Institute can
tailor programs for organisational groups of 8 or more persons
and bridging training is available for those candidates who
possess the BSZ40198 qualification.

| Duration |
Contact sessions are conducted over approximately
10 weeks in addition to the completion of workplace tasks
in the participant’s own time.

Course presenters are all recognised experts
within training holding relevant training and education qualifications.
They include accredited trainers, lawyers, human resource
specialists, and organisational development personnel.
|
| Prerequisites |
There are no prerequisites although students
are expected to have a reasonable command of the English language.
Preferably, candidates will have access to a work environment
to facilitate the conduct of practical tasks including delivery
and assessment projects.
