SECURITY
Certificate II in Security Operations - Bridging Program (PRS20103)
Overview

The aim of the Certificate II in Security Operations (Bridging Program) is to align the student's previous qualifications with the new competencies in the Cert II in Security Operations qualifications. The program will develop a student's proficiency in the practical application of security training, update first aid qualifications and provide responsible service of alcohol training. To complete the bridging training a student must be currently working in the industry and be able to provide evidence of this and previous qualifications completed.

Job Prospects
The Security Industry is a rapidly expanding profession providing exciting and challenging opportunities in a variety of areas. As the industry continues to expand, the expectations of clients utilising bodyguard services also rises. With the successful completion of Certificate III in Security Operations, course participants can seek employment in higher level operational security positions.
Delivery
The course is presented in line with adult learning principles incorporating structured tutorials, interactive workshops, case studies, video, practical assignments and workplace application. Individual and group work is conducted during the program.

Duration
The course comprises of a blended delivery approach incorporating both classroom attendance and home/workplace application.

Participants are required to attend the Institute for 3days and complete some workbooks in their own time.
Presenters
Course presenters are all recognised industry experts holding relevant experience and training qualifications. They include security industry specialists, former and current serving police officers, lawyers, OH&S practitioners and organisational development consultants.
Prerequisites
Students must be currently working in the industry and provide evidence of this and previous qualifications completed.
