EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT - LEVEL 1/LEVEL 1 + Extinguishers
PUAWER001A- Identify, prevent and report potential workplace emergency situations
PUAWER004A-Respond to workplace emergencies
PUAWER008A - Confine small workplace emergencies (optional fire extinguisher unit)
Overview
Nationally accredited units of competency that are aimed at all staff within the workplace to recognise, monitor, and minimise the consequences of a workplace emergency, to report to the appropriate persons or authorities and take necessary action.
Job Prospects
This program has been developed for persons already employed however is also suitable for persons about to enter the workforce.
Delivery
The course is presented in line with adult learning principles and involves either an interactive on-line CD format or direct delivery. Fire extinguisher unit is a practical session.
Content

• Identify, monitor and report situations that could lead to workplace emergencies
• Correct situations that could prevent workplace emergencies from being safely handled
• Prepare for emergency situations and respond to warnings and advise
• Evacuate the work area
Duration
Online Interactive CD - Approximately 1 hour (can vary with each participant)
or
Direct Deli every - 1.5hours
Fire Extinguisher - 1 hour
Presenters
Course presenters are all recognised industry experts holding relevant experience and training qualifications. They include fire and emergency specialists, OH&S practitioners and risk management consultants.
Prerequisites
Students must possess reasonable literacy and numeracy skills with a sound grasp of spoken English.
