EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT


Level 1 - click

PUAWER001A- Identify, prevent and report potential workplace emergency situations
PUAWER004A-Respond to workplace emergencies

Overview: Nationally accredited units of competency that are aimed at all staff within the workplace to recognise, monitor, and minimise the consequences of a workplace emergency, to report to the appropriate persons or authorities and take necessary action.

Level 1 + Extinguisher Training

PUAWER008A- Confine small workplace emergencies

Overview: Students complete all requirements of level 1 including practical application of fire extinguishers and fire blankets.

PUAWER005A - Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
Overview: Nationally accredited units of competency aimed at nominated wardens in an organisation. Content includes implementation of workplace emergency prevention procedures and the ability to respond to specified emergencies.

Level 2 + Extinguisher Training

Overview: Students complete all requirements of level 2 including practical application of fire extinguishers and fire blankets.

PUAWER005A - Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
PUAWER006A - Lead an emergency control organisation
PUAWER008A - Confine small workplace emergencies
Overview: Nationally accredited units of competency aimed at chief wardens in an organisation. Content includes making decisions about people's safety during a workplace emergency and giving instructions on the priority order for responding to the emergency incident area. The chief warden may act as the primary liaison with the emergency services.

PUAWER002A - Ensure workplace emergency prevention procedures, systems and processes are implemented

PUAWER007A - Manage an emergency control organisation
PUAWER003A - Manage and monitor workplace emergency, procedures, equipment and other resources
PUAWER008A - Confine small workplace emergencies
Overview: Nationally accredited units aimed at managers of large sites. Content includes participating in the management and monitoring of workplace emergency prevention and control structures for a complex workplace and operating as part of the management of an emergency control organisation.

PUAWER010A - Lead a workplace emergency initial response team
PUAWER009A - Participate as a member of a workplace emergency initial response team
Overview: Nationally accredited units of competency aimed at a member of the initial response team. This person works in conjunction with the emergency control organisation in the control of workplace emergencies in the early stages prior to the arrival of emergency services or specialist response teams.
