Judy Wright

Judy has had extensive experience
in many areas of the criminal justice system. She
worked for many years as a senior community corrections
officer with Corrections Victoria, dealing particularly
with the management of serious offenders. Judy was
also a police officer for three years.
Judy's Masters thesis from the University of Melbourne
is on the subject of Sentencing Reform.
Judy also lectures at both RMIT and Swinburne in
the Diploma of Social Science (Justice) courses, and
works as a private criminology consultant.
Judy is a member of the following professional associations:
• Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology
• Australian and New Zealand Association of
Psychiatry, Psychology and Law
• Victim Offender Treatment Association
Judy has taught in the undergraduate degrees at AIPS
since they began in 2001.

Andrew is a registered psychologist who has his own
practice, and has had many years experience teaching
psychology at both secondary and tertiary level. Andrew
was a member of the VCAB Advisory Team which formulated
the VCE statewide psychology curriculum, and psychology
coordinator at Merrilands Secondary College.
Andrew has also worked as guidance officer for the
Department of Education since 1997, and taught psychology
at Chisholm Institute.
Andrew is a member of the following professional
associations:
• Australian Psychological Society
• Australian College of Private Consulting Psychologists
• Australian Guidance and Counselling Association
Andrew has taught in the undergraduate degrees at
AIPS since they began in 2001. |
Matt tutored at the University of Melbourne
in the Criminology Department while studying for his
Masters thesis. His research speciality is cults,
particularly the Chinese Falun Gong.
Matt taught at AIPS in 2002 and after a year in Japan,
returned to tutor in 2004. |
Peter is a practising barrister and
solicitor with many years experience specialising
in criminal law, liquor licensing law, matters related
to the security industry and firearms, and Children’s
Court matters.
Peter is also an experienced private investigator
and security consultant.
Peter has taught in the undergraduate degrees at
AIPS since they began in 2001. |
