SEAS is an access and equity scheme
organised and managed by VTAC. It is designed to provide
access and equity to:
- applicants for tertiary courses whose education generally
has been adversley affected in the long term by their
life circumstances; and
- to assist current year 12 students who have experienced
recent circumstances which have had an adverse impact
in the final twelve months of their secondary schooling.
The Australian Institute of Public Safety participates in
the SEAS scheme and recognises the following SEAS Categories:
- Category 1 - Mature Age Entry
- Year 12 Special Consideration
SEAS must be applied for through VTAC and SEAS applicants
must also apply for tertiary courses through VTAC. Applicants
must satisfy various criteria to be eligible to apply through
the SEAS scheme.
